Roy De La Cruz is a photographer based in the capital city of Hartford in the state of Connecticut, United States. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1986, raised in Barranquilla, Colombia from 1990 to 1999, and moved to the state of Connecticut in the United States in late 1999.

He bases his photography on both national and international pressing social issues. A self-driven and directed individual he is always on the lookout for both meaningful, impactful images and stories. He is a member of the NPPA, PPA, certified in Photojournalism by the New York Institute of Photography, and certified in the NYU/Rolling Stone modern journalism course.
